I know this is being marketed as a horror/slasher, but for me the themes in this or more cult/occult/dark romance.
I didn't get the suspense, twists or turns I would expect from a horror.
I found some of the language a bit repetitive, and once I had noticed this, it was impossible to not see it.
Perfect for fans of the early 2000s slashers/comedy horrors - but if you're looking for true horror, suspense and gore you may find yourself a little disappointed.
That all being said, it was an easy read and would fit into many "spooky season" TBR lists.

I loved how Tylors writing made you feel for the characters, how they felt, and what they were experiencing. The book had me invested and kept me guessing. Can't wait to read more from this series
Did I wish that Eisley had more of a backbone? Yes, she definitely could have been a lot stronger in certain situations.
Also, it is *technically* mmf but not all that much going on BUT there is good spice

After seeing the hype around this book for months I knew I needed to join the authors team.
The world she created where the masked men are the good guys and the FMCs friends are some of the bad guys, plus the flashbacks to when the three MCs were kids is amazing! The rules as each chapter title? And the Frankenstein tie in?!
And don’t get me started on the spiiiiiice!!!

This was my first horror romance and color me intrigued. It definitely left me wanting more. I’ve read plenty of dark romance so this was up my alley.
There were so many twists and turns. The tension ratcheted up so well throughout the book. I was definitely on the edge of my seat a few times.
The spice was five alarm fire hot and taboo. Definitely check your TW/CW for this one.
Eisley, Constantine, and Kansas were so magnetic and the chemistry was off the charts good.
And can we talk about the names? I loved the names so much! They totally fit the characters.
