it was okay

the chapters were super short which helped me to keep reading more, but it seemed to jump around sometimes and I found myself going back a page to see if I missed something

wasn’t really that invested in any of the characters and then there was magic or whatever which I wasn’t expecting but I didn’t know anything about it

Honest ARC Review: If you are looking for a bloody book with unhinged characters and steamy spice then look no further. Eisley, Constantine, and Kansas all were prisoners of the Family cult. The Minister kept the three together for years until he forced Eisley to try and make a decision no child should have to. Constantine helps Kansas and Eisley to escape but gets stuck behind and they assume he is dead. Eisley is an adult in college now and has moved on from her childhood. She is happy to still talk with Kansas but she still grieves Constantine. When a crew comes to town to make a documentary on the Sinister Mister crazy things start happening. Murders start happening in town, then people from her past show up, and she’s getting bouquets of flowers from a stranger. This story kept me on the edge of my seat and I really didn’t know how things were going to work out. I really enjoyed Kansas and Constantine’s characters. They were both sexy, sly, and deranged. They both played a big role in Eisley life and were determined to protect her. These guys are not good guys and they definitely took advantage of situations but in the end it was so that they could finally move forward from their trauma. Eisley was a black sheep in her town. Nobody understood her and all her friends were fake with her. Despite all this she still was nice to everyone and just wanted to move forward in her life. I did wish she went to the guys dark side more. This book would be great spooky season read for someone looking for a suspenseful, steamy, wild book.

Great plot, hilarious and addictive read. Yes it’s a bit chunky but every page is as great as the last. So many twists and turns, I absolutely devoured this

spooky and sexy

I definitely like the book, but there were some points where I was super confused and felt myself hoping for more backstory than current story.

10/10 smut tho

What can I say? This book is a ride I never wanted to get off! Definitely worth the late night reads to finish this book!

Well, call me converted, which may be a bad choice of words for a book that involved a cult. I think I am a horror babe now? This book had me saying, 'WTF? Oh, that's messed up' multiple times, but in the best way possible.
The only thing that frustrated me was why Eisley didn't ask more questions?!? But I also wouldn't have complained.
The spice is next level, so make sure you read the content warnings before you give this book a go. It does not hold back.
The mystery and the tension had me thinking about what would happen next every time I had to put the book down.
I have never really been a horror fan, but this book may have changed that.

There were a few typos and misspelling in the e-ARC that I’m sure will be fixed in the finished copies but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I truly enjoyed this book and breezed through it! I loved the characters and creative, carefully developed plot. I’m a huge fan of the Scream movie series so when I heard about this one having horror AND spice (MFM/why choose), I couldn’t pass it up! Thank you so much for the e-ARC, Tylor. I can’t wait for the next one!
