Not for me, the whole chasing her down while she was high and then having intercourse with her without her verbal consent and then allowing another man to have intercourse with her without her consent while she’s still high! Rubbed me the wrong way. I understand that she liked it in the moment but I personally wasn’t comfortable with it. Also the fact that she wasn’t that upset about it, she mildly complained about it in her inner monologue and still continued to pleasure herself on camera for him. Just not for me. DNF-ed at 70%

So where do I even start with this book it was a mess a hot mess from page damnear the beginning now when I read the synopsis for the book I was excited I knew it would be a book I would like plus with the author saying it was a slasher film in book form I was so ready to love this book and it was disappointing. Firstly the plot is all over the place quite literally from the synopsis it makes it seem like a series killer is working their way through their friend group which technically it was but it was just Constantine and she should have known but for some reason she didn’t she was somehow surprised that Kansas was killing despite him killing her best friend and telling her to go home so that he could bury her. Also Constantine and Kansas are legit the same person Kansas just has glasses they tried to make it seem like Kansas and Constantine weren’t the only killers like someone else was after the two of them but there was no one else also this book has no right being marketed as thriller or horror or a slasher because it is none of those things we don’t really even get like an actual kill scene in the book we get a little bit and then it’s over or it’s a fade to black also there are so many inconsistencies. Like Eisley is basically a cam girl they say that she wears stuff that shows off her boobs or whatever and her stuff is suggestive but it’s enough to have people subscribing to her but Constantine said he’d been watching her for a while and he say her show her pussy and tits but later on she says the most she’s done is wear lingerie and fake moan and giggle but never touched herself that no one had ever seen her naked then her “friend” says they’ve seen her page and she does anal with dildos??? So which is it. Also I was like they just randomly mentioned that she did witchcraft and really didn’t say much about it also I think she had powers at one point she like made the knife fly out of her friend’s hand Also super vague with the religious cult for that to be their backstory we don’t know that much we don’t even know what happened the them we knew that the minister was dead but what happened to everyone else at one point they said they didn’t want the survivors to talk to eachother but then there were only supposed to be three survivors which was the three of them. Also the people randomly going crazy her friends the movie crew deciding that they were going to start killing for whatever random ass reason that really wasn’t giving and then the whole cult shit being actually real with the reanimated and another inconsistency they said they were both reanimated so they didn’t feel pain but Kansas’s was hurt when the film crew came after him with “something the reanimated couldn’t heal” and he ended up running to and then that was it they didn’t show them kill them at all and when Constantine was running after failing to kill Micah he got a branch stuck through his leg that was hurting that he couldn’t pull out but none of that makes any sense if they’re not supposed to feel pain. Also Eisley is a super boring fmc and way to naive with her coming from a cult background you expect her to either be broken or a badass and she’s neither she’s just bland and dumb she’s known her friends weren’t her friends since early on in the book but she kept going around them and having the nerve to actually be sad when they tell you that they don’t like you it was just dumb and yea a fucking mess

Unbelievably fucked up in the best type of way. Horror + knives + blood + sex + some slasher-movie-corniness that you just have to be okay with = this book.
