I always feel bad leaving a review about the quality of writing in a book, but there was too much to over look. The plot sometimes contradicted itself within a single page. There were repetitive statements. The story was .... just all over. Things were brought up but never flushed out. Character growth was stagnate, and Samael was too over powered. Unfortunately, I've decided not to continue this book. I could have held of if there had been chemistry between the characters, but there wasnt....also for most of the book, I was bored.

I won this book in a giveaway. Having said that, though, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book contains witches, mages, demons and all manner of other creatures. There’s intrigue and delicious chemistry between the two main characters. I enjoyed the plot and the melding of magic with the real world. I will be picking up the next book in the series.

I’ve now got this book in audio format so I can listen while driving, dusting, ironing etc.. now I’m going to have to cough up the money to buy the rest of the series in audio format.
