Thought provoking.

Not bad...

It was a good book but not one that I couldnt put down. I felt like the timing was off. Like some parts took forever to get through and other parts I felt should've taken longer to describe.

First half of the book was extremely slow in my opinion. Interesting storyline with a mystery aspect of who is doing what at the end.

Not too over the top gory and not too much romance. Very good balance.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm a massive fan of mystery/thrillers and this one kept me guessing.

dark mysterious tense

A tense, twisty thriller that hooked me from page one. Gwen Proctor is a fierce and compelling heroine, and watching her fight to protect her children against both real-world danger and lingering suspicion kept me glued to the story. Dark, fast-paced, and full of sharp turns, it’s the kind of book you can’t put down until the very end.

On to the next one!

This was a very solid thriller that I just had to know what would happen next. I finished it in less than a day and am waiting now for the next book. It tells the story of Gwen who is married with two children. At the beginning of the book her life is turned upside down when she and the whole world discover that her husband is a serial killer. It then jumps to Gwen and her family six years later as she still trying to pick up the pieces of her life. I like how the author slowly told the reader information about "The Event" and Melvin. There were several twists and turns in the books, half of which I had an inkling of. The ending was definitely a cliffhanger and I was not expecting it. The one thing that began to irk me was that I felt that Gwen was constantly repeating herself to the point where it really annoyed me. Other than that I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
