Gonna have to say that I skimmed the last 20 or so pages because I NEEDED TO KNOW what was going to happen. I don't read thrillers that often because I'm not capable of moderation when it comes to them, this one being no exception. It was gripping, well constructed, not remarkably well written, but I loved it anyway. Tbh I'm surprised it took me so long to read this one, as it's constantly on the Kindle sale list. Thank you Mystery Book Club for finally forcing my hand.

Pretty good story

Great character development. Hooked me in and kept it moving. I found myself thinking about the story when I want reading and wanting to get back to it. I will read the next book in the series!

Caraca, amei.
Super recomendo!!

If you can hang on past the first 100 pages you will be rewarded.
Those were Gwen overkill and in her head way to much!
After that the story comes alive and she quits putting baby at the end of each sentence she speaks to her kids. Ugh!
Lots of sneaky twists and interesting turns. Gwen is a more than a bit paranoid for my liking and should really learn a bit more survival tactics and how to be nice to people.
Has the grab your interest and keep it factor for the last half of the book.

Loved it!

I’d recommend to any suspense/mystery lovers. I liked the mix of flashbacks to the crimes with the present day trials the family was facing. Kept me on my toes!

I listened to the audiobook of this & really enjoyed it - - kept my interest from the very beginning. Even tho I suspected who the “bad guy” was from the start. But I did not expect the way it played out & all came together.

I’ve also never read a thriller series before & im excited to see what happens next after the cliffhanger that this book ends on. Perfect for September/October tbrs!!
