Nothing like an Elon Hilderbrand Christmas novel to clear your mind of the heavy historical fiction reads! Great cast of characters and an easy entertaining story.

Read this in a couple of hours over a few days. I was looking for a feel good holiday book, and was recommended the Winter Street series. It did not disappoint. I’m hooked! I loved the characters, the easiness of the plot, and how it left me wanting more up until the last line.

Moved through this one quickly. Excited for the next 3 in the series!
Overall I really liked the story line and the Quinn family. I loved their family dynamic and each character's unique voice. However, I hated Ava. She was so annoying and kept complaining about her relationship, even though she has the opportunity to get out of it immediately. Other than that I thought it was a great book and I am excited to read the rest of the series!

"With this in mind, Ava tells herself to be present and celebrate the holiday instead of wishing it over. After all, one is given only a certain number of Christmases in one's life."
A work mate told me about this author and her Christmas series in particular so I had to give it a go for my Christmas reads. I love reading Christmas-y themed books this time of year. Usually, the sappier the better. But, honestly, I didn't really enjoy this one so much. It was boring much of the time with its same old same old soap opera-ness. Even the cliff hanger ending was just so much blah.
Oh well.
