I really enjoyed this book. I had a hard time choosing my rating (3 or 4 stars??) but I gave it 4 because I liked all the characters, their complexity, the way the story unfolded...the setting (Christmas on Nantucket

A nice easy holiday family drama read

The book was well written the things going on in this twisted family are not my idea of a good relationship. Kelly is dad and he own & operates an inn. Mitzi is mom and she has been sleeping with Santa for 12 years unknown to any one else. Patrick, a son, works in investments and became a hedge fund manager. Kevin, a son, is sleeping with the French housekeeper. Ava, a daughter, is dating a guy who has problems with commitment. Bart, a son, is in the Marines and is unreachable by any of the family. And finally Margaret, the first wife, a TV anchorwoman is back in the picture.

Family drama at the holidays….But it’s all over the place. Redeeming quality - it was a short book.
slow-paced

I really enjoy Elin Hildebrand books, but this one was slow and didn’t hit the mark for me.

2.5 maybe? I don’t think I’m invested enough in these characters to read other books in this series, but I would try this author again.

This is just a light, entertaining read. I read it in a few days. I'm excited to dive into the whole series. I'm really loving all these Nantucket based books by Hilderbrand.

It was good enough. Just a light, quick read. But I won't be continuing the series

None of the characters were particularly likable but I enjoyed the multi-person perspective and it went quickly. A quick read for the holidays.
