I didn't finish this book. It was boring and I have read that this book leaves you hanging and I certainly don't want to read the next book in this series.
I did actually read the 4th book in the trilogy (yes trilogy) and it was someone enjoyable and had somewhat of a message. That was the reason I went back to try the first in the series.
I also read Nantucket Hotel and didn't think much of it. Shouldn't reading books that take place in Nantucket make you want to visit Nantucket? That was not the case here.
Isn't Elin Hilderbrand a best selling author? I was expecting her books to be much better. There is no depth in any of the three I have read. I didn't learn anything about Nantucket.

This one was just okay —
Pros:
-Love Elin’s writing style, it’s easy to read and makes me want to keep reading
-I’m a sucker for a book set in New England and this brings winter time cape/nantucket vibes
-cute Christmas/winter read
Cons:
-this book is so short for the surplus of characters it has, I feel like no one was characterized enough
-the ending was kinda a cliff hanger, which I hate, just give the people what they want (closure)
-I just felt like there was no real plot, it’s just detailing the chaos of family during the holidays
Maybe I’ll finish the series, but only when I need a winter/christmas light read, maybe next year
