Pretty solid. I liked all the complex family relationships and the Nantucket setting.
Finished my 100th book of 2024 just before midnight on December 29th - pretty stoked to have hit my annual reading goal (even if it was just under the wire!) !!! Book was just meh but an easy and quick listen. Always enjoy a good EH book set in Nantucket even if it’s not nearly as good as her other books that I’ve read.
I kept getting the people confused, a good indication I wasn’t connecting enough with the story to actually remember key details. About 1/4 of the way through it I decided it’s not for me and filed it DNF.
This is my first Elin Hilderbrand and first family drama (with many alternating perspectives) and I loved it. Maybe it was the winter setting...but moreover, I think the different perspectives, as many as they were, were handled so well. Wasn't expecting that cliff-hanger but excited for the next!
