DID NOT FINISH

Guessed the twist, inciting incident and mystery individual correctly by the third or fourth flashback.

So much fun to read! All of the characters were unlikable, but that was by design. An engaging mystery with a surprising twist! It reminded me a lot of knives out and similar whodunnits.

Alfred has opened his very own Hitchcock hotel, complete with memorabilia, movie props and round the clock screenings of Hitchcock movies. To celebrate the first anniversary Alfred invites his film club friends from college. People he hasn’t seen in sixteen years. It is a weekend of secrets, of suspicion and ultimately ending with a dead body.

Six college former college roommates meet for a weekend 16 years after college to catch up at a Bed and Breakfast owed and restored by one of them. The B&B has Alfred Hitchcock memorabilia and a theater room that plays Hitchcock movies.

When their host collects their phones, one of them is missing and all the tires are slashed do they all become worried.

The Hitchcock Hotel is a story about a loner type of man who invites his friends for a weekend of entertainment at his themed hotel that even includes crows. Alfred has gone all out for his friends as it’s in celebration of his one year of owning this hotel so what’s not a better plan than to have his friends celebrate with him. Each friend has their secrets and each friend has done wrong. In the end someone dies, if you want to know who and why then you better read or listen to the audio of The Hitchcock Hotel.

With friends like these, who needs enemies? I loved the premise of this: sort of a Clue-like mystery with six college friends reunited to celebrate the one-year anniversary of one of their own opening a Hitchcock themed boutique hotel…only one of them doesn’t make it out alive. Whodunnit? And why? Everyone is keeping secrets, some of them more horrible than the rest. No one is innocent, and everyone has a bit of a grudge. This was fun and unexpected.
