This was really good! It was sooo addicting!!

This book is so ridiculous and off the rails that I can't help but love it.

I really enjoyed book! I think it was a great start for a trilogy.
What I really found interesting was the way the story was told. Normally when you read a book with changing POVs it will be 2 characters, but in this book it was 3. It was also great that I was never confused by who was telling the story. Each girl had their own distinct voice and personality.

As for the story itself who doesn't love a good revenge plot. I mean don't we all have that one person who wronged us. I really felt like I related because I was bullied a lot and given the opportunity I would love to do something like this. Maybe not as serious but it's kind of a dream come true. And that is just wonderful to see play out.

The cliffhanger is amazing and I can't wait to see where the rest of the trilogy takes us!

This book was quite a bit too young for me, but I pretty much knew that going in. I hadn't read anything by Jenny Han, but had heard good things. I saw this and the second on eon sale at BAM for $3, so why not.

This was an okay book for it's storyline. 3 girls are screwed over by friends, enemies, frenemies, and they want revenge. 2 of the girls had prior mixups with each other, but Mary is completely separate from Lillia and Kat. I much prefer her to the other two. This reminds me a big like We Were Liars, just because these kids live on this island that you have to take a ferry to get to and most of them are pretty rich kids.

The writing was a bit juvenile as well as the storyline, but I enjoyed the characters enough and by the end I was actually kind of hooked despite the fact that I saw the cliffhanger coming. I really enjoyed Mary and her story the most as it's a really interesting dynamic between her and her revengee. It was a quick read, I'll be continuing with the second book. I haven't picked up the 3rd, so I'll see how that one goes before I purchase the last one.

Some freaky combo of john tucker must die and mean girls. Liked the mysterious backstory and hidden truth thing and added character layers as it went on but some motives were stronger than others. Three povs was a bit to take in and I got halfway and realise I didn't connect with them properly because the American high school life is so foreign with groups and they had lives I couldn't really relate to. Like Nadia was 14 and they legit believed the possibility of her and Alex. Almost predicted that everything would go to shit but not how it actually did. Liked that it went that far with the consequences. Clearly a series but I don't know if I'm attached enough to bother reading it.

While it definitely got a little unrealistic towards the end, it was a thrilling novel nevertheless. I was going to put it down halfway since it did start out a bit slow, but I’m glad I didn’t! Excited to read the next book.

I really enjoyed reading Burn for Burn. The way the story follows the three girls perspectives and reveals bit by bit about themselves and why they want revenge. It reminded me of gossip girl the tv show, but more weirdly sinister, i guess. The story weaves in and out between the lives of the girls and you get a glimpse of not only how it is to grow up on this island with the cliques of high school, but also the cliques in adult life, aka class divisions. I thought it was interesting to see those points of view and how the characters deal with it in there lives. The authors do expand more on serious issues when they shine light on the topic of bullying and the harm that can do. The only thing that bugged me was the random paranormal events, but I think this will make more sense in the sequel. Overall, I thought it was a fun high school revenge book that was written well between the authors, and the ending just leaves you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what is going to happen next.

I did not intend on reading this at all but I found myself enjoying it. This is the first book in the trilogy, and I don't know if I will still read the next books. It will show the readers three different types of girl and how they clicked after they planned something. It was great. 2/5.

Revenge. Served cold or hot is always good. When you get revenge on someone it feels as if you rule the world. That you are karma and you just got pay back. This is what three girls on sunny Jar Island get to do on their three victims.

Mary. Sweet little Mary the one in the center of the picture. In four years ago she left Jar Island with her family and never looked back. Why? Well Mary met a boy who destroyed her life. With her life broken her parents took her away. Now back for her senior year (except she’s a junior still) living with her Aunt. Yet when she seems him again, all those feeling come back. Mary cannot wait to get her revenge and make him feel what she felt.

Kat (the one on the left). Feisty, ferrous Kat. Kat’s had all the rumors, the insults, the cruel jokes made at her expense and finally she had enough. Yet what started these insults, the rumors and cruel jokes? They all start with her ex-best-friend Rennie. Kat was the master mind of the revenge gang. Paring up with bathroom-crying girl Mary and her other ex-best friend Lillia she wants to make all three victims pay.

Lillia the third and final member of the revenge group (found on the right). Over the summer Lillia did thing she was not proud off. Bearing the guilt of these actions made it her duty to protect her little sister from boys who would take advantage of her. Yet when Kat tells Lillia that her sister had a ‘sleep over’ and her friends Alex house Lillia want revenge. The problem is Alex, Rennie and the boy who hurt Mary was all her friends. How can she plan revenge on them, when they are laughing at her joke at the lunch table? Lillia definitely have the short end of the stick, but for her sister she will do it.

Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian are both amazing authors. Their writing is the same as each other (not a good thing) so that it makes it hard to tell the difference. With such a unique topic they could have gone anywhere with it. The plot twists happed at appropriate times, and they have given you a typical high school look. They explored deep in the dark sides of Lillia, Kat and Mary giving us a true glimpse of what is inside of them. What would you do to get revenge, would you risk everything to make them pay?
