Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liar.

3.5 / 5 stars. Video review to come!

3,5/5 Just an entertaining read that I enjoyed. The story was addictive and I love the friendship between the female characters and how they are taking revenge on people who hurt them. I was disappointed about the romances (I was shipping two characters and they aren’t a thing anymore?) The ending was quite surprising and I can’t wait to read the sequel!

It's the beginning of a perfect summer night, the kind where all the stars are out and you don't need a sweatshirt...

I've had burn for burn for quiet some time, on my bookshelf staring out at me each time I reach for a new book, but when I received books 2 and 3 in the series for our early family Christmas I knew it was time to start reading it and my goodness I'm so glad I did!

It was such a fast paced quick read with so much impact. It's one of those books that you look back and wonder how much you effected people in high school, if maybe you were seen differently to what you thought.

It's a get revenge and destroy book which I LOVE especially because it's girls getting back at boys for the wrongs they have caused. I think it really brushed over topics that maybe could have delved deeper into, I'm hoping these things are discussed in the next books.

I loved the characters and the quick read it was, I loved Kats character the most but also love the mystery lining Mary and Lillia's loving nature.

The action packed ending was incredible and I am so glad I have book 2 to start straight away, what a ride!

Burn for Burn is full of SWEET REVENGE!

Lilia, Kat, and Mary are a very humorous trio. While they can not be seen in public together, there private interactions are enough to keep any reader interested! Each young lady has their personal reasons for wanting revenge on fellow classmates. I found myself rooting for each one and hating their rivals.

You must not fear, this book is not ONLY about revenge. There is a bit of PG-13 romance and a LOT of growing up in this book, as well.

The only downfall of this book would be the POVs. The story jumped into the lives of each character so fast, that I had a hard time distinguishing the characters in the beginning. Not too mention, the story often changes view mid-scene.

This book is perfect for any YA reader who enjoys a fun revenge story.

Before I start this review I must say that I absolutely LOVE Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian.
I love them so much and I love their books.
Now, another thing is, I have been dreading writing this review.
I really have.
Because well, I honestly am not a fan of Burn for Burn.
I wanted to love it so much!
But I felt like it was so....
Eh.
That's all I can say about it.
I didn't hate it.
And I wasn't crazy about it.
Maybe it's because I had such high expectations for it.
I mean, Jenny Han AND Siobhan Vivian wrote it.
It SHOULD be the best book ever.
The writing was excellent.
I just felt like the entire book was kinda.... immature.
All of the main characters were my age and yet I felt like they were 13.
What I love so much about Jenny Han's books are that they have so much heart and emotion in them.
Like as you're reading it you can feel your heart filling with love and sadness and a ton of other feelings that you can't even describe.
I felt like Burn for Burn was lacking that.
Well anyway, it's hurting my soul to tear this book apart...
So I will just stop now.

This will be a series, so I'm hoping the books get better as the series grows.

I love you Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian and I am sorry I didn't enjoy Burn for Burn ):
