This book was an adventure. I didn’t know what to think when reading what the book was about, but I was surprised. All three of the girls had lots of hate for three different people. This book showed that revenge isn’t always the right choice. Many people in life will wrong us, but hurting them the way they hurt us will never fix the problem. I thought it was cool how three girls who were not friends could become so close. Again this book shows that just because someone's life seems perfect doesn’t mean it is. In the end I quite enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
This book was great. I really hope that in the sequel Kat, Lillia, and Mary start to hang out in public. The book was good, but I sincerely hope that Reeve doesn't die, even though he was a total douche. When I finished the book questions were unanswered ( I guess that's why there is a second one) my first one is about Mary's "powers" like do they really exist. It seems unlikely, but I kinda hope that she does. Also what's going on with Lillia, Kat and Alex like does Alex actually like either of them. It also seemed likely that Reeve had a thing for Lillia, but what about Mary? Or even Rennie (who I'm hoping is destined to end up alone, since she's a beotch.) I very excited to read the next book.
As usual Jenny Han doesn't disappoint and neither does Siobhan Vivian. There writing together definitely flows well and each character has their own distinct personality. I loved the premise of getting revenge on the people who have wronged you and I think everyone has at least one person they would like to get revenge on so this book is definitely relatable when it comes to the main conflict. I also loved that the authors put in a little back story that the authors gave each character so that you understood why they wanted revenge. I also really loved the magical realism that was presented in the last few chapters that will hopefully be explored in the next book.
I liked this book, but then again there were some things that I really didn’t like.
The book is told from three points of view from all three girls. I’m really interested to know how the two authors split the task of writing the book because it’s typically done with two POVs from each author, but that wouldn’t really work in this case. I really liked Lillia’s chapters and she was my favorite of the girls. She had the best reasons for doing this revenge and her relationship with her sister was so cute. However, I found her intentions a little weird because she never really had a good reasoning for joining in the first place. It just seemed like she was there as Kat’s ‘in’ to the popular group, who was the main group attacked. Kat was so annoying and I really hated her character. She was really ungrateful to Lillia and Mary, even though they would risk everything to do the revenge. She also pushed it way too far on multiple occasions. Her chapters were the worst because I really just didn’t like her character. Mary was nice and all her backstory was just so sad…I feel like she has the best reason for revenge of the group. However, I didn’t really like the paranormal aspect she brought to the story. It felt random and thrown in there, totally out of place in this genre and book. (Did she remind anyone else of Carrie?)
The revenge plot was really interesting and it was my favorite thing about the book. It reminded me of a high school version of the television show Revenge! The girls are not nice about anything they do and it sometimes gives them disastrous results. It’s not fun to watch them destroy their classmates, but it is intriguing how they pull everything off. I really liked the friendship the girls form through doing everything, especially as Lillia struggles with acting innocently around her friends.
This book also contains some heavy topics such as drug use, bullying, suicide, and date rape. These topics aren’t the main point of the book and are just covered in flashbacks, but drive most of the action that occurs. It gives a good background as to what is happening without getting into too many details to take away the revenge topic. All of the girls have some personal problems that drive them to start along this path of revenge. While I have seen it done better, it delivers.
Overall, this book was okay. Two of the three characters were hard for me to like and connect with. The plot drove most of the book for me and the revenge concept was well executed. I’m looking forward to continuing on with the series.

5/5 Stars!
Oh my goodness, i seriously loved this book!
This book is about three girls (Lilia, Kat and Mary) who want revenge on people who did them wrong, so they come up with secret plans to get back on those people, and OH MY GOODNESS WAS IT ENTERTAINING. These girls, in my opinion, have serious guts. I would never be able to pull off any of these stunts.
This book was in three point-of-views, Kat, Lilia and Mary’s. Usually I am not a huge fan of multiple points-of-views because sometimes the different characters voice and thoughts sound the same to me, and i get confused. But in Burn for Burn, all of the girls thoughts and voices were completely different, i never once got confused between them! They are just so different, it’s actually beautiful.
The whole book had perfect pacing for me, not too fast but not too slow..
AND THAT ENDING ASFJRUAEJSAF.
I literally cannot wait to read the next book! I have a feeling this trilogy will be amazing.

I don't even ... how can you end it like this!? Ahhh!! But it's so good that I can't even yell worse cliffhanger EVER!
*3.5*
It was a little slow moving but I was intrigued at the same time. And that ending at the homecoming kind of reminded me of Carrie by Stephen King!
Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
