A very moody, mysterious story set at a beach house and told from one point of view. Refreshing in its originality. It will linger with me, the way it wanders and teases. The narrator is both straightforward and obfuscating. His friends/guests are interesting. His wife — and their interactions — both curious and confusing.

I don't really know what this was about. It sounded nice but also pompous, like it was trying too hard to sound smart and above such basic considerations as "plot" and "anything interesting or compelling about the characters."
Probably didn't help that the male narrator had to do many women's voices.
