Beginning of the book was good, but as it went on I started to lose interest. It would have made more sense if the h was younger, plus her lack of communication around what being a podmate entailed was baffling. The only thing that kept me going was waiting to see Harrison join the pod and it was a disappointment.

I’m so tempted to give this book 2 stars. I might eventually change it if I can’t cook down about it

LOVED this RH! Very cleverly written. Full of peril & protecters! Excellent character development.

Wicked Water is a wonderful introduction to a new series. This is a very entertaining, fun and engaging RH romance. Melody and her guys are very likable characters. Action packed and drama filled this is a great read and I am very excited to the next book.

This is a Mermaids and reverse-harem story, one full of fantasy characters that will have you reading through it all, I didn't expect so many of them, I was very surprised and now I am intrigued by the story and want to see where the story goes, definitely a cliffy so be aware of it, definitely a good recommendation if you like this sort of stories, the world-building was very good, the characters are fantastic, the storyline will entertain you to no end. Give me the next one, please!

This is my first reverse harem story and I was definitely not disappointed. I have read the author's other series and was excited to be able to read this. It was fast paced and a quick read, without being boring. I like that Ellie has provided different POV so you can understand how these are feeling. I eagerly await the second book to find out what is going to happen next.

Recommend.

I want to start by saying that the story and the subject were really solid and interesting, and I loved the idea. A mermaid running for her life due to an unknown plot against her and her family? Pretty cool, right? And I liked it, I really did love the story and the plot. What didn't work was the execution. The characters were all over the place with their moods, there were continuity errors galore, and the flow of the story was, at times, choppy and confusing. A few times I caught the same scene stitched in random places and it almost felt like the story was being reworked but no one went back and cleaned up what had been edited or rearranged. I also really didn't like the heroine, who, while I understand was supposed to be kind of naive, was still 27 years old and yet completely immature and irresponsible with the feelings of others. She actually enraged me a few times because of how weirdly selfish and uncommunicative she was being.

I really wanted to like this one. Like I said, I loved the idea for the story, really loved that it was multiple POV, and didn't hate what was happening. I just wish it was a little less messy and more well thought out and executed. Luckily for me, while it is kind of a cliffhanger, it's still a HFN and I can just kind of ...stop.
