The endless s*x scenes get tiresome, especially as they take away from the actual story.
One example: after the terrorist attack at the stadium, Hades whisks Persephone away to safety, and they have sex. Instead of helping in the battle, caring for the inj6, caring for the dead, checking on their friends, some of whom are involved in the battle, or even sending them a message to tell them they're safe. For all they knew, Persephone was either dying or dead.
So the scenes go against common sense and sometimes feel forced.
Not the best instalment in the series.

Loved the growth in power from the main character! But to be honest, I skipped so much of the book due to all the smut. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love me a good spice scene, but it felt like there was one in every chapter and towards the end of the book I was over it. Also - major cliffhanger at the end which is really the only reason I’ll be reading the next book!

OMG I need the next book now. Persephone and Hades are still #Couples Goals.

Quick thoughts: It took me a lot longer to get through this book than the first two. It was less gripping, for some reason. Persephone is certainly more mature in her emotions in this book, but it feels almost like a set-up book for the next one (which I was surprised by, since I thought this was just a trilogy haha). Not much of import happened. I will say, however, that the author does a phenomenal job of discussing trauma in this book.
