Thank you to Lauren Blakely for the ARC of The Overtime Kiss! I loved this book. Tyler was everything - sexy, respectful, and patient. After Sabrina runs out of her wedding, she runs into Tyler (dad of one of her students) and ends up becoming his nanny. There’s tension, spice, and great conflict. Sabrina is a perfectionist due to constant demand from her parents and ex fiance. Tyler helps her feel valued in her job and relationships. It’s a great combo. Loved this book!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tropes: Single dad/nanny, runaway bride, forced proximity, lessons in seduction
Spice Level: 🔥🔥🔥

Sabrina’s wedding day turns into a full-blown disaster when she gets a voicemail from her fiancé where he reveals that he is having an affair with the for the Maid of Honor. In a bold moment of chaos, she plays it for the crowd as she walks down the aisle and peaces out in dramatic fashion. Afterward, she ends up in a bar with hot NHL star (and single dad) Tyler Falcon. One emotionally charged night full of flirty banter and 1001 confessions later, their paths cross again—and suddenly she’s nannying his two kids, living under his roof, and absolutely not talking about that night. Of course, it doesn’t take long before the tension boils over and they strike a deal: five lessons in seduction, no strings attached.

This setup had all the fun tropes I love—hot hockey dad, forced proximity, simmering tension, and a little found family sweetness. Tyler’s thoughtful gestures and dad moments were swoony, and the “lessons” brought the heat.

But the third-act breakup was built on a classic miscommunication, and that always feels a little meh for me. I will say I did enjoy Tyler’s big moment with Sabrina’s ex and dad—it gave just the right hit of vindication.

All in all, it’s a quick, steamy, slightly over-the-top read with a few sweet moments and a satisfying payoff if you’re in the mood for something light and fun.

I received this as an arc/alc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was a phenomenal single dad romance. It was such a well written story and I love the chapter headings, it just makes every chapter feel so unique right from the get go. I loved the humor and the steam, it was just the right combination of both in my opinion. Tyler was just the perfect book boyfriend, he was so thoughtful and I loved how he fell for Sabrina right away but didn’t act on it because of her relationship status. Their romance was just so great and I loved their banter. But this story was so much more than just the relationship between Tyler and Sabrina, some of the best moments for me were when Sabrina was with Luna and Parker, the way she bonded with each of them individually was so special and I loved it.

Audiobook review: This was such a great audiobook. I loved the narration and I now have new name to add to my list of favorite narrators because this female narrator was new to me but did an incredible job as did the male narrator, but he was already on the list.
