Audio (ALC) Review
Firstly let me just say that Lauren Blakely has become one of my faves! For this audiobook I only found time to listen while driving...the AC is out in my car so driving is miserable but I could not wait to be able to get back to this book!
Sabrina catches her cheating boyfriend bragging about hooking up with the maid of honor through a voicemail. She decides to not just not marry him but give him a little "hell hath no fury" fury. Now what got me isn't what she did or why she did it but...the response by her parents. It was horrible and I wanted to cry for her. Those people couldn't be more abusive if they beat her. The psychological damage they inflict on her is heart breaking. You'll see! And wait til you hear the fiancé's crappy and cruel gaslighting.....UGH.
Long story short...she takes off in an Uber with the coolest driver ever, ends up at a hotel bar, and runs into Tyler.
Now Sabrina knows Tyler; she's been Luna's iceskating coach for a while. They talk. They get tipsy.
They share the "Night of 1,000 confessions". It's really sweet.
Moving on. Sabrina is homeless because the butt-nugget has the lease on their place. She's also jobless because her dad is vicious and cruel.
Fast forward. Sabrina and Tyler are friends and he needs a nanny for Luna and Parker (you are going love these kids!).
I'm going to leave you here...so you can read (listen too, same thing) all about the steamy almosts. The sweet moments with the kids. The learning to communicate. You'll also learn about vegetarian diets! Not my thing but hey....now I have ideas!
If Goodreads would go ahead and give me quarter star ratings then I'd give this book 4.5 stars. But they don't so it's getting 4.
Lauren Blakely...I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read more by you! Thanks so much for the ALC!

“All the reasons to resist him burn into ash as his lips crush mine.”
I was in a slump. I tried an audiobook I was really excited for and re-listened to the first two chapters five times but just couldn’t stay focused. I gave up and started The Overtime Kiss , assuming it was me, not the book—and I’d have the same issue. But nope! Lauren Blakely worked her magic immediately, and I was immediately sucked into this sweet and sexy single dad romance.
Though The Overtime Kiss is #5 in the Love and Hockey series , it easily stands alone. If you’ve read the first four, you’ll enjoy seeing past characters pop in as teammates, but it’s definitely not required. I grew up figure skating and even taught beginner lessons, so I loved the skating elements woven into the story. But mostly, I loved it because Lauren Blakely never fails to deliver smart, sexy, feel-good romances with emotional depth.
Sabrina Snow is a former competitive figure skater turned coach, raised in a wealthy but emotionally distant family. When she finds out her fiancé (who works for her dad) cheated on her the morning of their wedding, she cleverly exposes him. But instead of supporting her, her parents disown her, leaving her broke and homeless.
Tyler is a hockey player who’s always had a little crush on his daughter’s skating instructor. She was engaged, so he never acted on it. But when she shows up at a local bar in a wedding dress, Tyler steps in to help. After a few drinks, Sabrina shares some of her deepest fantasies—then promptly passes out.
Tyler’s mom is looking for a new nanny for his kids and hires Sabrina. The kids already know and love her, and the position gives her a place to stay and the opportunity to grow her coaching business. The only problem? She already told him all her sexual fantasies.
They try to keep things professional. But with sizzling chemistry, a built-in connection through the kids, and an undeniable bond, staying away proves impossible. And let’s just say… Sabrina gets some very specific “lessons.”
I absolutely loved them together. Tyler is a total softie—joining in on cat fostering only made him even more swoon-worthy. He’s such a great dad, so observant and caring with both his kids and Sabrina. I also loved that Sabrina’s new support system was made up of past couples from the series, but even if you don’t know them, you won’t feel lost.
Single dad stories are my favorite. I love when the kids love the dad’s new woman, and I appreciated that Tyler had a healthy relationship with his ex. He’s such a green flag hero, and they were just perfect together.
Likes:
•Hooked me from the start.
•Easily stands alone, you don’t have to have read or remember the previous books in the series.
•If you have read the others, seeing them all pop up.
•Tyler is literally perfect.
•The foster kitties.
•She was such a great nanny.
•Tyler was an amazing dad.
•Loved the Lauren Blakely banter.
•Cute little notes.
•The perfect amount of spice to story.
•Spicy lessons.
•The found family for Sabrina.
Dislikes:
•The miscommunication and “for her own good” parts.
The Narration:
Lauren Blakely is the audiobook queen. She always picks the perfect cast for her duet-style books. I haven’t heard Brooke Bloomingdale much before, but she was perfect here, and Teddy Hamilton was amazing as always. The kids’ voices were adorable too. The narration elevated an already great book even more.
The Down & Dirty:
I’ve read a lot of Lauren Blakely books over the years, and honestly, I’ve loved them all. Every time I listen to a new one, it becomes a new favorite. She’s one of my go-to authors because her books make me happy—I listen with a smile on my face the whole time. And Lauren Blakely + a single dad romance = pure gold. The Overtime Kiss had me smiling, swooning, and falling in love from start to finish. I don’t usually seek out hockey romance (as a former figure skater, I’ve smelled too many hockey players for them to feel sexy), but if Lauren writes it, I’m all in. If you’re looking for a feel-good romance with heat, heart, and the sweetest single dad, The Overtime Kiss delivers it all.
Rating: 4.75 Stars, 3 Heat, 5 narration

.
Now although this was my favorite MMC by Lauren this wasn’t my favorite book by her. Sad to see this series end cause it was a cute romcom hockey series! I love a good single dad/nanny book, but I didn’t fully feel that in this book. For the book being over 500 pages I wish I got a bigger connection of the FMC and the kids. I think the dad’s relationship with his kids was beautiful I truly loved it. The romance and spice in this story was top notch, not too much of a slow burn it was perfect. I enjoyed this book and this series very much 😊

Escapism at it's finest. The Overtime Kiss takes you out of your head and puts you in touch with your emotions. From steamy to sweet, Blakely keeps the senses pulsing and the heart racing with irresistible characters, unforgettable romance and a sassy sense of humor. Tyler and Sabrina are revelation that doesn't disappoint.

So cute! I absolutely love Tyler and think everyone deserves someone as thoughtful as him. From the way he took care of her when she was sick to the little surprises and notes it’s was *chefs kiss*
