Thoughts: Great read, love this author and love her work!

Okay I'm in love
Casey is amazing
Reyes is possessive in the best way

God casey, her brilliant broken brain, her strength my fucking god I love her. Her beautiful world of grey.

Reyes possessive love, his obsession with her safety is heart melting. I love him.

Basically my weakness for Mafia romance is very much evident here. The writing was elegant but still simple. The moments of light hearted humour and sarcasm were greatly appreciated and broke up the heavier scenes. Reyes infuriated me at times and made me want to claw his eyes out but at the end of it all I couldn't hate him. The morally grey King found his morally grey queen... their morals completely their own

Excellent Read!

Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. The author took me on a journey with her characters, from their scarred past to a happiness that neither of them thought they could have. A wonderful story of pain, hurt, love and trust.

Mafia is my favorite sub-genre in romance. There is just something beguiling about something so corrupt and seedy juxtaposed with such loyalty and familial ties. Even in all its grittiness and dark undertones, there is always something redeeming about it. Even when the people are "bad" there is always something that can be argued that is good. Therefore, when I first heard about this story I was skeptical because I am very picky about my mafia romances. I don't want it to be superficial and what would just be seen in the movies. I didn't want it glamorized and I also didn't want it to just be violent for the sake of violence. I wanted authentic. Well, I shouldn't have been worried because this author did a fantastic job.

Her characters were believable, the storyline was plausible, and from the opening page, the author had my interest piqued. I am officially a fan and have another author I can follow to get my mafioso fix.

Magnifico.

I loved this book! I loved how Casey went from being this broken, wounded and sheltered person to a strong and savage queen. I loved how Reyes showed that you can help your love rise and still be wickedly powerful. This book just gave me all the feels and I highly recommend it.

I loved everything about this

Reyes literally took Casey and freed her! I couldn’t imagine her pain once she found out the truth. I’m so glad she finally got the baby she deserved! Baby sally sounds absolutely precious! Reyes had my heart from the beginning! Ugh this was such an impactful experience and i loved how this story played out! Absolutely beautiful!

I was feeling under the weather today so all I did was lay on the sofa and read books. I finished all the books in this series back to back (and backwards *lol). I didn't quite enjoy this one as much as I did Queen's Move. I think the heroine's behavior for the first 50% was a tad on the bipolar side. The whole back and forth "I hate my husband" to "I'm loyal to my husband" thing made me want to smack her upside the head. Aside from that, this book was a great read. No OW or OM drama. Hot rough sex. Insta-love. Over the top alpha hero.

nice cover

Book was ok… just thought the character did a complete one eighty. From confused and needy to mafia queen. I guess I just didn’t like her character.
