Loved this book! Warner and Tenley were perfect for each other. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

So, I’m a recent fan of Jen’s. I have fallen in love with her story telling and writing style. I was super excited to get my hands on this book, but now I’m back in the waiting game left wondering about Wyatt and his mysterious ways. Anywho, back to Warner. I absolutely adored Tenley and her demeanor. She was kind, but said what she felt. I loved seeing this single father angle, I haven’t read many books in this trope. Really this was a sweet romance with character development that keeps you intrigued.
My only con is that the biggest/only reason for Tenley being in town is to film a movie that her parents have backed. Her parents need this movie to do well so they can pay off a loan shark. Well...we never get this part of the plot wrapped up. Like I assume the movie was made and did well? For this I would rate it 4.5/5 *I believe an updated copy resolved this issue**

All in all a solid story and great addition to this series.

An emotionally charged story that has authentic and well written characters who experience life in full color.

Warner’s marriage to his college sweetheart was on life support for years before his wife left him to be a single parent to their two children while he helped to manage his family’s massive cattle ranch. Warner is protective of those he loves, sexy as only a cowboy can be and a perfect example of the saying ‘still waters run deep’.

Tensley is Hollywood’s American Sweetheart and fresh off a failed relationship with a Hollywood hottie who cheated on her and was outed very publicly the tabloids. On her way driving from LA to a small town in Arizona she has car trouble and meets Warner when he stops to help.

These two characters meet again when he is asked to give her cowboy lessons for her role in the a cowboy romance movie she’s in town to film. Unfortunately, their next meetings happens as Warner’s marriage implodes completely and then he overreacts to a misunderstanding.

Their relationship has several obstacles and sudden sharp dropouts to navigate as well as some soul searching to do. This author brings a story to life that catches your attention and grips your emotions as you experience this journey along with the characters.

I received an ARC from Hidden Gems and the author, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I am eagerly anticipating Wyatt’s story later this year. These Hayden siblings are bold, loyal, and badass each in their own way. Wyatt has been their first each of his older brothers and comes across as a playboy, but I feel their is so much to learn about this next Hayden brother.

I loved Warner and Tenley. And the rest of the Hayden family is back as well with all the familial love and support anyone could want.

Ms. Millikin is becoming one of my new favorite authors and I can't wait to read more about this family.

This was a good read! I have read the first book in this series, but I feel like you could pick this one up and not have any problems following the story. The writing flowed well from start to finish, and I loved Tenley and Warner together! It took Warner a long time to see that his marriage had been over a long time before she served him with divorce papers. I hated for him to have to go through that, but it was something that he had to do to be able to move on. Tenley was sweet, and I liked that she didn't treat everyone around her like they were beneath her. I was expecting more drama from the kids or Anna, but I was pleasantly surprised with how it all worked out. I would have liked to have a resolution with the whole parent situation, and I feel like the thing with Calvin was just kind of thrown in. It was mentioned and dismissed all on one page. The ending was sweet though, and I can't wait to find out what happens with Wyatt!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
