I didn't realize this was a prequel and listened to it before reading the actual book so this review may not be as useful but this book was incredibly dull. It's pretty much just her overthinking situations then acting nas if she hasn't just thought through what she wanted to do or say.

This was included at the end of the audiobook copy I had of Pretty Girls.
I liked listening to the prologue of Pretty Girls, to get to know Julia a little better. I did listen to this after listening to Pretty Girls, which I think enhanced the story and made it a little more nerve racking towards the end since I knew what happens later.
Had I listened to this before Pretty Girls, I would have rated it 3 stars, but having read it after it's a solid 4 stars.

Good companion novella to Pretty Girls.. I don't think the order you read them in matters much.
I loved it, however; the ending is frustrating. This EASILY could have been a full novel and I would've read the heck out of it.
