DNF at 36%.

I really enjoyed the first book and thought we’d pick up well from where we left off. This was truly boring. Nothing was happening at all, and we continued to go through the monotony. Maybe this didn’t need to be a trilogy, especially if we’re just filling space with a book two just for the sake of filling space. I don’t think I’ll be picking this back up, I’d rather do literally anything else.

well. it isn't essentially a bad book, although we can all agree that olivie's writing kinda changed in this one. i liked the atlas six, and i truly hoped i'd find something significant enough in this second book that is still related to the plot between the atlas six and the atlas complex. in fact, it seems to me that the atlas paradox only acts as the bridge between the two books. solid enough to walk through, but rather forgettable in most parts. for all the (surprising) alteration coming from olivie's side, i admit i did enjoy some parts, especially when it dived deep into the relationship between each character.

I just don't like fantasy and didn't care for  the characters or the plot
