(3.5 Stars) I did really enjoy this book, however it bothered me that there were so many misunderstandings and I didn’t like her best friend (Stella) at all omg. Anywayy, I thought Sam and Hannah were honestly really cute together and I loved their characters. I also really liked how realistic this book was in situations and overthinking because it really shows what goes through teenagers minds and all the confusion that comes along with it. I loved how funny this books was in some parts, but I wanted to see more of their relationship when they started dating. I wouldn’t say that this is one of my favorite books, but I still recommend it!!

DID NOT FINISH

why is this book marketed as a cute romance it’s literally just abt the characters wanting to bone

Sam and Hannah meet in a bathroom at a party and hit it off right away but due many misunderstandings and awakened moments they just can’t seem to catch a break. They spend the summer trying figure out what they hell is going on because love and life are never simple.

Lobsters, also called a totally awkward love story, is exactly that! The thing I love about Ellen & Ivison’s books is just how honest they are. They don’t shy away from the messy side of growing up and having relationships. Lobsters is a lesson in how to communicate and why you should never jump to conclusions.

If you’re looking for an easy listen and a good laugh then I’d recommend this book. But be warned, you will cringe

3.5
This was fun and cute, but I felt little connection to the characters. I didn't find myself rooting for Hannah and Sam at all. I didn't despise them; I was just kind of neutral on them.

I really tried hard to love this book but I could barely get myself to like it. This book was basically about the two main characters trying to loose their virginity and get into college. If they weren’t complaining about either or they were each being nagged by their friend groups who were kind of horrible. Each main character could basically be stepped all over by their buddies. While the idea of the way the characters came together at the end where they had first met was cute- the actual ending was awkward and abrupt. I hadn’t read for pleasure in a while and I’m kind of bummed that I chose this book to start reading again. It was a quick read though and the story moves pretty quickly.

A cute and entertaining read
