This was nothing short of awfully beautiful and painfully tragic. Amara and the she-wolves were flowers in a world that didn’t deserve them. I loved reading about their lives and relationships between one another.

What a book! The wolf den follows Amara, a young woman sold into slavery in Pompeii and forced to work in the brothels.

This might not be for everyone, it’s gritty and doesn’t shy away from the unpleasant realities for slaves of the time.

While I really enjoyed this book it at times felt a little slow and like I was waiting for some big event. In the end there is a revelation but nothing too surprising. But I’m still keen to move into the next book!

The wolf den shares a meaningful story filled with love, strength, and sisterhood with characters you want to follow and see succeed.

Would recommend this one!

5/5 ⭐️ Dark and addictive, I devoured this book in less than a week. I couldn’t wait to read what happened to Amara next (more terror for what her and the other girls would have to endure than anything else and hoping it would all work out). This book does such a good job of not shying away from the horrors of sex work and prostitution while also showing the unwavering love, loyalty and determination the girls have to survive no matter what. I cannot wait to read the next book!
