love this series. however, all of the books begin to repeat themselves and its hard to tell them apart. i cant remember what happens in a bunch and sorta mush what happens in three of them together. but my favorite one was the one when alex went to the bad side. cant remember what it was called. if anyone can remind me please do so!!

I'm going to say Horowitz did not make a strong start to the Alex Rider series with this book. It was a little rushed I think, and a little awkward in terms of writing and interactions. Alex Rider seemed a bit too perfect, and a bit too unemotional.
That being said, I still liked the book. Also, know that it does get better as the series go on, and with that knowledge I rushed to finish it because I knew there were better ones coming.

I very much enjoyed Stormbreaker! The story contained some plot holes and parts that didn't quite make sense, but this is be expected from the first book of a series, and overall it lived up to the praise I've heard from other people. An interesting addition to the young adult spy genre. Despite some of the violence in the book, I'd say it's at a reading and interest level for 10-14 year-old kids. Great fun for an adventure lover!
Alex rider, a normal boy, finds out his not-so normal fate of being a spy. When M16 sends him on a mission to stop the Stormbreaker, a high tech computer, from reaching every kid's classroom before it is sent, he must defy the odds of a teenage spy. With several death-defying stunts, and one psyco killer Yassen Gregorovic, Alex Rider must find a way to stop the Stormbreakers in their tracks. Written by Anthony Horowitz. To me it was a little slow moving, and not as fun as the second Alex Rider in the series.
Cliffhanger at the end of every chapter, and the chapters are pretty short. I would call it "James Bond by way of James Patterson for children."
