This was a really good YA read. It is disturbingly similar to Vampire Academy but with Greek gods, mortals, and half blood. Despite that fact, I've enjoyed it and will eargerly pick up the next book.

Absolutely loved it. I thought it would be really like Vampire Academy... But I was pleasantly surprised at its own spin on things. It has its own kick ass heroin with a love interest- and it doesn't disappoint. It's it's own story line, and there are some shockers- this isn't a "all is ok and fine" kind of novel. I downloaded number 2 within seconds of finishing. Love it.
Edit 2019: Re-Reading this series as it’s been a while. I still love it, read it in 3 days. I remember some things but others were still a surprise. Being slightly older and reading this, Alex does irritate me where she didn’t do much before. That said I still laugh out loud at parts and am continuing to finish the series (again).

I listened to the audiobook version which is done well. However, the story feels like a rip off of Vampire Academy. Nothing about the story seemed to be original. That bothered me a bit but I kept going. The ending is disappointing just like the characters. You’ll either love it or hate it. If it were more original, I would have loved it. (It also feels a bit like fourth wing👀)
