CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE by Sophie Sullivan is the perfect short and sweet rom com, with two characters who meet organically but opt for an engagement of convenience (lol) to help them both through sticky situations while they date and get to know each other at a normal pace. CW for loss of a parent and a loved one with severe depression. I enjoyed reading it!

Oh this book!!!! First, thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this arc.
I enjoyed this a lot. I started reading it on a flight and then I found myself reading it while waiting in lines at Disney. This is just a good sweet romance.
Fake engagement, rich MMC, grieving FMC/FMC family, bits of loss and recovering from it. I loved it. It’s not SPICY spicy, it’s just a great romance. 10/10

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the advanced ebook of this title.
I loved this story. The pacing was perfect, and the relationship between Lexi and Will was mature. As they enter into a fake engagement, they begin real dating, and the lines between truth and lies get blurred. There is not any miscommunication in this book, and I appreciated this. Unlike typical fake dating scenarios, this couple doesn't shy from their feelings. They leaned into them, which felt refreshing and added to the chemistry between Lexi and Will.
The supporting cast added layers to this story and left the door open for a continuation of this book into a series.
This is a closed door, swoon worthy read perfect for a cozy fall day.

This was a typical romantic comedy with the early meet cute, fake relationship turned real relationship, breakup, and get back together with the assumption of living happily ever after. It was exactly what I needed. Will was almost too perfect. Lexi was what I imagine every guy wants personality-wise, but her self-deprecation and lack of confidence got a little old. The narrator did not do it for me. Might’ve rated it higher if I’d read rather than listened.

I really enjoyed the side characters in this book (the siblings, parents, friends, etc.). Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the main character who constantly thought she wasn't good enough, who felt being a waitress was demeaning, and who is saved by the rich, but ever thoughtful man. This one just irked me from the beginning, and I couldn't get out of that headspace.
