I enjoyed this book but it was just missing something for me - like a spark. I can’t explain it right now. Maybe it was cause it felt “easy” like it was “fake marriage trope” but they both clearly liked each other so the relationship felt easy - so the big “break up” did not feel real.

For the most part all characters were likable (I’m looking at you Will’s dad) it was based in Seattle so nothing crazy.  The ending felt kinda rushed.

Hopefully the other books in the series have what this one is missing.

I’m going to be honest: if a waitress spilled something on me I would not be happy about it. I would acknowledge it was *hopefully* an accident but I would never be as nice as Will.

Lexie right from the start needed a lot from Will and even though Will had something to gain from a fake relationship it was a little too far for me. They just met when Will sat at Lexie’s table she was waitressing. I really tried to buy into this but it wasn’t easy. Their real relationship also moved a lightning pace. I get the interest and waiting to try to have a real relationship while having a fake one. I think I like the idea but the execution was too fast for me.

It’s still a cute story. More on the gushy side- especially from Will. Didn’t hate it but didn’t love it. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of Can’t Help Falling in Love to read and review.

4.5 stars.
This was the first book I read by this author and I fell in love with the writing. I enjoyed the non-romantic part more, which is strange.
