This is the first book I've read from this author but I loved it a lot. I'll definitely be reading more of her books and this was such a fun read. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cute fall read that has great banter. Oh my goodness, it's just so cute.
This was my second marriage of convenience and I loved the way this was done. It's just adorable.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC. (this is a closed door romance, adorable meet cute, fake engagement, he falls first, and opposites attract.

I enjoyed the story,, but it was not gripping. Predictable, but satisfying ending.
4.5 stars
Can’t Help Falling In love is a cozy, friends to lovers that revolves around two main characters of Lexi & Will. This story takes place in Seattle, and I have to thank the author for the attention to detail when it comes to the setting because I felt like I was there with them. This was a fantastic Fall romance read and while I normally don’t like Insta-love, I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the storyline. Lexi & Will are two very different people, both strong & determined . The romance begins with a fake engagement that turns into a genuine relationship.
This story is so blissful with themes of love, healing, loss & second chances. Lexi's journey from heartache to hope is portrayed with genuine authenticity, making her eventual growth & the romance that blooms feel believable. It’s a super easy read, uplifting, and it brought tears to my eyes in some parts. I truly loved this book!

Audiobook. I got to work and back, and the story hadn't left the first scene yet. I was exhausted by waitress angst and judgments of her customers. A scene that might last 20 minutes in life shouldn't take over an hour in an audiobook. I was bored.
This should have been the book for me: I love the fake dating trope, he falls first is a favorite, and that cover is great! Unfortunately, Can’t Help Falling in Love didn’t live up to my expectations.
Insta-love isn’t one of my favorite tropes, and this was insta-insta-love. The fake engagement was the result of an assumption that could have been easily corrected. I found it hard to connect to Lexi or Will, and I wasn’t really invested in the outcome.
Sullivan does a great job with the banter between the leads and treats Gwen’s struggle with grief with sensitivity, but that wasn’t enough to rescue the story for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press | St. Martin's Griffin for an eARC. Opinions are my own.

Why do I keep reading books where they start off interesting enough, only to jump off a cliff? This book was fine, but it definitely could’ve been better. I love fake dating. But I couldn’t care less about these characters. I could see the author trying but it just wasn’t sticking the landing for me. And because of that, I really struggled to not skim the page. I think Alexandria’s chapters were better than Will’s. But both still were slightly cringe.
Overall, this book was fine. It’s short, has an interesting concept, and I think can be a good like quick beach read. Unfortunately, I think I could’ve liked it more of the characters were more developed.
Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for providing an advance reader copy of this book for my honest review.
