Falta mucha historia. Quiere ir muy rápido y añadir muchas cosas pero no sabe como. Escucharé el 2do por wl cariño que he pillado por los fantasmas pero depende de como vaya el 2do no llegaré al 3ro.

I keep picking up paranormal romances chasing the high of the Sookie Stackhouse books and nothing satisfies me 💔
I did not believe the romance here. The pacing was strange bc supposedly the book takes place over almost a year but you get no delineation between seasons that it seems very quick. Also her two friends also being witches was just thrown together so fast?? I had a lot of issues with this one tbh

(2.5/5) I caved and joined Audible to listen to this book. There was no other way I would finish it. I liked the "Practical Magic" vibes it had at times. That’s what I felt made it interesting. The romance however was not necessary. I also really did not like the 40 pages long chapters but that’s a personal preference.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Another Molly Harper book... another book filled with laughs, a small town and magic!
A strong start to what I hope is a new series

the concept of this book was cute! however, it felt confusing to read at times. i found myself surprised at the sudden progress of the main couple as there was more of a focus on the plot than the romance. if that’s your liking then this book will be for you! was a bit more underwhelming for me

I’m always interested in modern witchy books but unfortunately this one misses the mark in every aspect for me. Our main character Riley finds out she’s magical but we really skipped right over the part where she learns magic. She’s drawn to two other women on the island who become part of her coven but it’s unclear if they had magic before Riley or if she’s kind of sharing her powers with them.
The romance plotline was also weak. It was very much insta-love as soon as they apologized for their rough meeting and each subsequent scene shows a jump forward in their relationship without any kind of development. When they inevitably declared their love after the final relationship hurdle, I was annoyed rather than kicking my feet and giggling. These two barely know each other. Their declarations (and most of the other dialogue) read like scenes from a CW show but somehow more cringe.
The only redeeming factor for me was the setting. It was like someone mashed up the Winchester Mystery House and Mackinac Island and I did enjoy that. I can appreciate what the author was going for but it overall missed the mark for me and I won’t be continuing this series.
