Must if you went to Berkeley. Beautiful, sad that it was true but it’s about growing up and finding yourself both alone and in friendship.

read this because it was this summer's NYU reads. such a relatable memoir. it was beautiful to the core. i related to so much of it but also admired the people in it so much because they were so similar in such a different way, and so different in such a similar way. the writing was also consistently beautiful, its lyricism never faltered. would recommend to all college students, great book.

the introduction can be quite dragging, but i appreciate the anecdotes and recollection on grief
surrounding ken’ss death.
the author details grief’s collective and personal memory in a way that tugs at you

It’s hard to articulate why I enjoyed this book so much. Perhaps it was listening to the author read his own words through the audiobook.

I really enjoyed it. Very evocative of a single place in time and extremely reflective and introspective. Love
