This is an interesting dystopian novel. Early on in the plot, I thought I knew where the novel was going, but I was pleasantly surprised when that didn't happen. The ending is also somewhat of a happy ending compared to other dystopian stories, which can be appreciated. There are interesting aspects to this dystopian society, namely their method of reproduction, that make it very interesting and distinct from societies described in other similar books.

I listened to the audio book, and I hated the narration style, so this might have a higher rating if it hadn’t been so miserable to listen to. The concept is fascinating and the writing was very good. I can see the influence that this has had in a lot of modern media, but there were moments I just found dull or uninteresting

No offense to my English teacher, but I hated this book. The concept seemed interesting, but the writing style put me right to sleep. It was so boring to read that it was a chore to finish it, and as an avid reader who usually gives good reviews, I was sad I didn't like it. But I didn't. It was a cool concept executed okay but written insufferably. Again, only my opinion. Read the book if you can get through the writing style.

Interesting concept, weird pacing, flat characters. The middle of this book definitely dragged. The last two chapters make this whole book worth it in the end though.
