Meh this book was just okay. Not a lot of growth or development of characters. Very much I am what I am you are what you are; “wolf & a lamb”. I didn’t really like either of them deeply overall meh

The heroine was not it for me but the hero redeemed this.

"A lamb, a mouse. Prey is as wild as its predator, Lilah. You're as wild as me, and you want this as much as I do." - Dante Reid

I don’t think I’m rating this book fairly, but it’s just not for me. I do enjoy this author I’ve read some of her other books so I know it’s not the author or the writing style but I do not enjoy the main character Delilah. The whole innocent perfect girl thing isn’t for me, and on top of that the whole baby trope, this was a hard read to finish. I like the idea of the story, I really think that this could’ve been a story that I might’ve loved, but it just wasn’t for me. I wasn’t a big fan of some of the characters, most of the characters actually. But the spice was good, that was probably my favorite part about this whole story. I am hoping that there is another book coming out that follows a different couple in this world, but this book will not be reread by me anytime soon.

Started and ended good but I feel like there was 100 or so pages in the middle that could have been taken out and it would have been just fine.

Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t hate this book as much as some peoples reviews are saying but it also wasn’t one of my favorites.

The nickname thing made me cringe, he called her lamb about a billion times and I was like alright man we get it, she’s fragile and pure to your rugged and stained. The idea of it was cute, and usually the brother’s best friend trope gets me but this one was executed in a way I just didn’t connect with.

Also, can we talk about how confusing his job/life was, he was military… but then he was honorably discharged and started privately contracting with the government… all while being part of this huge mob family. It just was too much for one character I think.

The plot wasn’t terrible and the writing wasn’t bad either, there was just something about this book that I couldn’t connect with. Maybe because the idea of it was so far off that the relationships and characters felt that way too? I’m honestly not sure. The book just felt very messy.

Piercing

Tiktok made me read it

Cringe ad alti livelli con però altrettanto alti livelli di trash tipo lei guarda lui torturare un altro mafioso e pensa "he wasn't just a wolf here, he was a werewolf: ready to kill". Ok, I guess

Smut nella media.
