This book was definitely more emotional than I thought it would be! My heart hurt for everything that Lilah went through and how she suppressed all of her feelings for so long. She tried to mask it and be the perfect good girl everyone saw her as, until she couldn’t anymore. She suffered from depression and anxiety and I really like the way it was handled and the therapy representation.
Dante, honestly he was perfect. The perfect morally gray hero. He had loved her forever. In his eyes she was the light to his dark. The way he went all in with her once they got back in touch, he helped her fight her demons, helped her discover some of the tools in her mental toolbox- really liked that reference.
And the way he let his possessive side show… oof it was good.
I loved the little lamb/wolf nicknames, honestly I ate it this book up. Finished in one sitting.

She’s always loved him and he’s always been hers but she has a hard time believing him when he says she’s the only one. Nonetheless, this man is loyal and persistent and honestly, a good man despite his mafia connections.
I liked it. It was quick and dirty with just enough emotion to make the reader feel something for the characters.

This is one of those books that you see an out-of-context quote from on BookTok, so you download the book and then realize it's horribly written. The dialogue was so cringe and forced; the plot didn't make any sense; I hated the MMC... I could go on, but I'll spare you. Not for me.
