Deliha has always loved Dante, but her anxieties/depression and fear has gotten in the way and caused her own heartbreak. She’s on a journey of “Eat, Pray, Love” to try and find herself again. When a twist of fate event brings her right back to Dante. They haven’t really seen each other in 4 years.

Dante has loved Deliha for as long as he can remember, she’s his best friend’s younger sister, he’s been protecting her since they were kids. He is bound and determined to show Deliha just how much he loves her and always has.

Lots of angst, spicy scenes, violence, twists and turns with a HEA. Dual POV, stand-alone but introduced to other characters from the series.

I read this book in under two days. My first book back after a long reading slump. It's plummeted me back into reading. I'm already rereading it as I read other stuff. I love the story and I love, love, love Dante. ❤️

I tried to like it.

This book started off strong, and then it just fizzled. The dialogue, repetitiveness, and the angst of FMC was frustrating. The FMC was super annoying, and the way that the MMC kept calling her lame was ridiculous. The writing was good. The story was a good idea, but the execution was trash.

Here’s the thing: I hate books with twins. I didn’t know that there would be twins when I started reading this so I tried to push past it (I promise I really did). Like usual with twins in books, there’s secrets, competitive (ish) attitudes, good-twin/bad-twin complexes, and all around a lot of hurt on both sides. I could have moved on past all of this. What I couldn’t move past was the MMC’s relationship with the twin.

The FMC and MMC get together then find themselves in a “right person, wrong time” situation that ends with them drifting apart. Fast forward to current day and the MMC and the twin have something now? First it’s that they are seeing each other, then the MMC is saying while he thought about it he never would have, then it’s that he did go out with the twin, then he’s saying that the twin tried to kiss him but he rejected her, then he’s saying that they hooked up??? Then it’s all summed up to him and the twin (who is described as being the “prettier” twin) are just working together and that’s it? The book then moves on completely like that’s not something that needs to be unpacked. You’re telling me that he’s not even slightly interested in the girl he works with who looks exactly like the girl he can’t stop thinking about? Yeah… sure…

Not to mention the fact that he was apparently in the military but is now working in a private contract with the government but is also the son of a major mob boss who no one knows he’s related to? Again… sure…

What really sealed the deal for me was that he lied to the FMC about various things but when she finally admits to the pregnancy and loss of the baby that she has basically told no one about he gets pissy with her? And she’s sitting there sobbing about this super emotional thing that she’s kept bottled up and has been dealing with all by herself and he starts talking about how he’s “always thinking about how to get people to submit” to him? Yeah… that’s totally the correct way to handle a situation like that…

Also, I did not find the spice in this book appealing at all. He literally puts a rock up her lady bits and I’m supposed to think that’s hot? No thanks.

This was a beautifully put together sorry of two broken people coming to find that together they are whole and can love and be loved no matter the differences between them.
I was absolutely consumed by Dante and Delilah. It was spicy, controlling, heartbreaking, loving and pierced

dark mafia romance

I seriously couldn’t put this book down. I finished it all in one day. From the beginning to the end I was hooked. The angst, the spice, the banter was so good!! I love that Delilah was known to be this good girl (lamb) to everyone. But like many who go through something traumatic which I felt many could relate to in many ways. You basically learn to not back down when people expect perfection and push back when needed. I love Dante & Delilah’s relationship. Mostly because he’s a alphahole. Lol but they have history & they had this special connection already so I felt like they knew how to challenge each other. Not to mention their chemistry was HOT. i definitely recommend this book.
