Perfect

This is my first book by this author but won’t be my last. The character and world building was done perfectly. Definitely room for other stand-alones too.The overcoming of tragedy and the way she wrote about depression and didn’t just bypass it but made it part of the story and showed the struggles with it was spot on. She didn’t sugarcoat it. I will say check the TW. I don’t have any so I am good with them but they are definitely there. They chemistry between these characters was off the charts. I can’t wait to read the next one

Ok, not great. I listened in audible, maybe it was the narrators. I just didn’t feel a connection between the Dante and Delilah. Her back and forth drove me crazy. Her determination to stay away made no sense. I get depression and the urge to withdraw, but she wasn’t doing that. She was actively trying to engage. That was the entire point of her being in PR. I just didn’t get it.

Dante is probabaly the worst MMC I've read. He's garbage, and not morally gray swoony, but just a revolting dude. 0/10 swoony. Lilah deserved better, and she also deserved to stop being called lamb. So annoying.

DID NOT FINISH

Compared to some of her other female characters in her other series, I couldn’t stand the FMC.

If I ever read the word lamb again I’m going to throw up. What even happened in this book? I have no idea. BookTok got me from two sentences and I regret it; but I’m not a quitter so I finished it. Why? Idk
