I do love a "we didn't know we were dating" plot

This one wasn't my favorite unfortunately. There wasn't anything in particular wrong I just didn't connect with Misha and Charlie.

“But you seem to always end up looking after me. And you have enough of that with everyone else. It isn’t fair, Misha.”

He looks at me in disbelief. “I like looking after you. I always have done. Because you’re mine.”

So sweet and believable. I struggle with best friends to lovers because I often don’t believe the moment they both decide they want more. I believed it here. I loved how they truly saw one another, cared for one another. But I very much loved how Misha loved Charlie. His epilepsy is part of him and Misha never made Charlie feel bad for that. He was so sweet. I also found their issues believable once they got together. It didn’t last long and wasn’t over the top but it made their raw and real discussion that much better. Also I’m a sucker for that kind of epilogue

Yesssssssss!!!!!! Grumpy/sunshine is a god tier trope and this delivered!!

Misha and Charlie were perfect opposites of each other and I loved their teasing and bantering. I also love couples where everyone else around them is just waiting for them to get it together and be together already. I really liked how Misha took care of Charlie and also encouraged him to not always be "sunshine". I feel like the grumpy/sunshine is so much better when the sunshine one knows that they are safe enough that they don't always have to be positive. I loved once Misha and Charlie were together Charlie didn't feel like he had to be this perfect, accommodating boyfriend, and that he could feel all his emotions, not just the happy ones.

Second read on this one! This is one of my favourite Lily Morton books. I love friends to lovers and epilepsy rep, so this one hit some favourite boxes for me.
