See, I enjoyed this and felt it was well written but the resolution at the end was just way to abrupt.
Ugh! Overly dramatic and so unrealistic. The main caracter was so sappy... Not my cup of tea.
Okay. I’m going to give credit where it’s due: it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Colour me surprised!
Review to come. I have a lot of thoughts.

Not the worst book taking up this topic.
The writing style was not for me, but I was positively surprised that a man wrote this book with the point of view of a teenage girl dealing with forbidden heartbreak.
Not saying every teenage girl who would have a relationship with a teacher would act like Carolina did, but I could definitely see a real girl act like that.

I wasn't very fond of this book. The writing was great but the story it's self was sad and unsatisfying. I guess it shows that we all have a lot to learn, and often times the hard way. However, it brought up unpleasant feelings that I didn't really enjoy.
Ugh....completely ridiculous! The book actually started out ok. Nine seemed like an intelligent girl who may have been a little mature for her years. It wasn't hard to see how she and Mr. Mann developed a relationship. She isn't what you think a typical high school senior is....she's not into boys, parties, fashion, etc. She pursues him with single-minded determination. Sadly, after their relationship starts, it seems like she loses any sense she ever had and turns into an obsessed stalker who turns criminal. The things that this girl does and gets away with is unbelievable. You actually start to feel sorry for Mr. Mann that he hooked up with someone so severely unbalanced.
This book wasn't at all what I imagined it would be and I love it. The character of Nine was just normal at the beggining but then you realize of how can love change such a normal person and lead them to do the unthinkable. I think that's awesome. Maybe a bit creepy but I loved it.
When I first picked up Teach Me by R.A. Nelson, I was a bit apprehensive to say the least. As a high school student, the idea of a student dating a teacher - one almost twice her age - was a bit... disturbing, to say the least. However, the story's protagonist, Nine, was mentally mature for the most part, so the relationship between her and Mr. Mann was not as repulsive as it may have been. Unfortunately, Nine did become rather psychotic after her relationship with Mr. Mann broke off. She developed a freakish obsession for him and started stalking him.
What I like about this book is the fact that Nelson allows you to get inside Nine's head. Her voice is very strong in the book, and it makes it easier to empathize with her and how she feels, despite how irrational she may be at times. The book is also full of beautiful and lyrical figurative language, almost like a poem.

I've been waiting for like 6+ years to have this book and read it and when I did it was only to be left with a bad taste in my mouth. I am tremendously disappointed and crushed, because forbidden love stories are my favorite, especially the teacher/student type however Teach Me didn't live up to my high expectations and to the faith I put in it :(

Terrible. Sloppy. You can tell the writer was trying to be aloof and kind of make the writing whimsical and it just comes off as haphazard and like they didn't care. I wasted my time reading it.
