But then. The magnolias to Julian? Finding out that the accident wasn’t an accident at all?! The kidnapping? I mean I knew I would have loved to see Christian lose his shit but this… next book is gonna be wild and everyone is going to be feral.
Lastly, I didn’t always love Julian’s shitty detached behaviour, but I see where he comes from and I honestly low key love him… my heart broke when I found out the title is after something he says about magnolia.

Anyway, I have never loved a series as much as I love the MPU, at least not as an adult. The last time I loved a series like this, I was 14 and had just read Twilight. Nothing else ever stuck in my head that long until last year when I read the first book and everything changed.
so obviously I loved this installment, it made me cry, I annotated the hell out of it, and I'm (sort of) patiently awaiting the next one. In the meantime, I just got some merch so I'm really excited about that.

This fourth book really ramps up the angst and drama, as well as the suspense. Jessa Hastings has successfully woven together elements of the third book in the series The Long Way Home and this book into a action packed ending. Can’t wait for the next book!
My only complaint is that there are certain phrases that get over used: jaw goes tight, squint, sniffs a laugh, eyes go round, etc that gets used way too frequently. It reminds me of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s uses of some words and/or phrases. It got frustrating to read and took me out of the book. That’s why I couldn’t give it a full 5 stars.
