Took me awhile to get into it. Thought about stopping at one point. About 1/4 of the way in it hit me and I couldn’t put it down. Ordered the rest in the series right after finishing. Can’t wait to continue the story.

I laughed, cried, screamed and cried some more.
Happiness, sadness and full on heartache all through this story.
An absolute #unputdownable book.
Hooked from the get go.
Can not wait to read more

I'm really into dystopian genre now....but usually avoid zombie stuff (yes I did start watching The Walking Dead-binged the first 4, maybe 5, seasons on weekends leading up to the start of the next).
But this was pretty good. I could generally see the scenes Fleming creates and the people and stories seemed pretty realistic. Yes there are some "coincidences" but those are pretty normal in end-of-the-world stories.

Depending on your tween/teen it's definitely readable in that age group. If they can read the Peregrin's Children series, they can read this.

A very entertaining read with a vastly disappointing ending.

Until the End of the World is the first book from author Sarah Lyons Fleming and it shows.

The book was overly long and dived deep into the prepper life and life after the "world ends". I get it.. it's a Zombie Apocalypse book. However, I'm not looking to read a "how to" book to survive or the painfully tedious details of gardening and canning.

The pacing was awful and was truly a chore at times for me to read. The action packed sequences? 5 Stars. Everything in between? 2 stars at best. So much unnecessary detail and random flashbacks that are totally irrelevant.

Cassie, our main character, is supposed to be 28 yrs old but acts, talks and conducts her life like she is 17. The other characters aren't much more likable and the manufactured angst between Cassie, Ana and Peter is brutally painful to read for endless pages. So pointless and silly and out of place in a post apocalyptic world. Cassie is just not that likable and it's totally unbelievable that she is supposed to be some Zombie killing badass.

I actually backtracked to this series after I picked up Mordacious, the first book in the companion series The City. I was 28% into it and couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to read the first series before I read The City, but I almost wish I hadn't because now my excitement has plunged to the basement about continuing on with either series.

Finally, after much recommendations of this series, I started it and I LOVED it. I was already a fan of the walking dead, this is like that but better. It starts with a few infected and then it blows up. Cassie and her gang realize things are about to hit the fan and they need to get out of New York city asap.

The fast pace of the story works well and they group all have a purpose. There are a few characters I did not like at all. I swear to you I hated them then by the end of the book was like omg I love them they made the most of it, even if it took them longer than others.

They add to the group, and lose people it’s a pretty intense read but I was hooked. The ending though all the happy joy!

I loved the narration, she sounds exactly like another narrator I listen to and love so it was seamless for me.

"I love you. Until the end of the world.."

I like gritty and gory zombie books with a touch of post apoc romance. Where the characters get in the thick of things. This Not your typical zombie book in the way that's it's not all blood and Gore. Of course there is blood and Gore, but thats not the main focus here. But I still really liked it. The main focus is Cassie and her group. It's a big group, but the book is written to where you feel connected to every single one of them.
The major issue I have with this though is that it's mentioned the characters are in their mid to late 20s. With the way they talk and act, I keep picturing them as teenagers or early 20s. Ana and Peter surely act like sullen teens, and even Cassie has her moments. Not too much of a biggie.
Looking forward to the next book!
