I'm obsessed with Amy Poehler. She is my spirit animal, I swear. And this book just proved that.
I thought this book was hilarious and witty. Amy Poehler is on my list of people I would love to have dinner with and the audiobook version is perfect for making your commute enjoyable.
I would not listen with kids in the car though. This book is quite crude and has lots and lots and lotsssss of swears. Still great though!

Amy poehler loml but tbh this was more ear candy during cell culture. Still great!
This book is warm and entertaining. I am a huge fan of Poehler’s work and persona, but I wouldn’t say this book added that much to my understanding of her, and thus i give the book a 3.5 rounding up. But the book is amusing and easy to read and sheds some insight into the early days of her life, as well as the parts of her life that SNL/Parks and Rec followers aren’t as familiar with— for me, this was mostly with respect to her early comedy days and her founding of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade. I wouldn’t pick the book out of a lineup but Poehler is lovely and I am looking forward to her continued success.
I had high expectations for this book since I LOVED "Bossypants" and she is Tina Fey's "comedy wife". Luckily, it was as awesome as I had hoped (and I practically read the entire book in a 5 hour plane ride)! The writing style is just how I imagined Amy telling me about her life if we were grabbing cocktails. I really loved her thoughts on the mean voice inside our heads and her annotated chapter about "Parks and Recreation". There was enough about her personal life where you felt like you got to know what you needed to know and respect her privacy. This reaffirmed why so many people (including myself) love Amy Poehler.

Very enjoyable. What a charm bomb.
I want to be Amy Poehler’s best friend, I really do. Or maybe I want her to be my mom? She seems like a great mom, and her writing about her precious babies Abel & Archie was so goddamn sweet & funny.
This book was fantastic & funny, part auto-biography, part life lessons, part musing on what it means to be a woman in her 40s. Truly a gem of a book. And that cover, I mean, you can’t beat it.

I love Amy Poehler! Her book was so entertaining and funny. I loved to hear about her time on SNL and Parks and Rec. My
favorite part of the book was when she wrote about each parks and rec cast member. It was so cute and heart felt. The book was fantastic! Every little bit of it.

Different from what I expected but fun to read for sure. Was wishing I had an audio version but enjoyed conjuring her voice in my head while reading :)
I very much enjoyed the chapters that her friends helped with. They were very fun to read.
