Her audiobook is literally laugh out loud funny. I probably would have liked it less if I had read it instead of listened, hence highly recommend listening for some levity. It was a great break from the current news cycle.

I should have DNFed. Just not much interesting in here, and sadly not funny.

I was looking for a "funny book" when i start reading this. But it's just Not as funny as i expected. I mean, of course i expected a big deal from amy. Anyway, this book filled with fresh stories and great quotes that makes you stop, stare and star thinking about your own life. Like this :

“It’s easier to be brave when you’re not alone.”

“Treat your career like a bad boyfriend.
Here’s the thing. Your career won’t take care of you. It won’t call you back or introduce you to its parents. Your career will openly flirt with other people while you are around. It will forget your birthday and wreck your car. Your career will blow you off if you call it too much. It’s never going to leave its wife. Your career is fucking other people and everyone knows but you.
Your career will never marry you.”

Such an interesting and quick read. I respect how Amy refuses to discuss her divorce. Love her story and her outlook on life.

3.5/5 Stars I read this book in college and recently listened to it instead. There’s a lot I liked about having Amy read it to me, and it definitely had its moments.

I love Amy🫶

A little all over the place for me and crude at some points and there was a bit in the "My Boys" chapter than had me glancing sideways as if the imaginary person sitting next to me was going to agree that was weird but over all I love Amy Poehler and I was happy to listen to her read her book for 7.5 hours
