Blijf het lastig vinden om in het Engels te lezen, kom er minder in. Maar heel mooi stil boek, erg verdrietig ook. Belangrijk dat het ook over een maatschappelijk probleem ging in je Japanse (Tokyo) samenleving. Ik vind het mooi dat in de Japanse literatuur die ik tot nu toe heb gelezen de natuur, in het specifiek bloemen, een grote rol hebben in het beschrijven van sfeer en situaties.

i don’t think i fully understood this book. it was overall depressing and since there were no chapters to break up the content it got jumbled and a little confusing to me. i thought i was getting it close to the end then it made no sense again, maybe it got lost in translation for me
