I’m so glad I stuck with this book. I was not feeling it the first several chapters, but it continued to get better as I went on. I agree with everyone else’s review that this is not a love story-at least not in the way you would expect it to be, but it is still a beautiful story about love, life, loss, and how we overcome our fears.

I am in love with this book and the story it spins, it is perfectly paced, wonderfully crafted and lovingly offered to the world. Well done. Truly and wholly.

Super adorable YA book! I love all types of dancing, and the ballroom sequences were cute. IMHO, it would be hard to pick up them all so quickly, but the romance part would not be as fun without it. The magical realism parts were super cute and fun. I loved the texting and emojis, it was on par with teenager communication. This is a feel good read, easy to read, and light, and not too heavy or complicated.

Side note- I LOVE the cover and especially the font for the title! It really made it easy for deleting it as once of my BOTM selections.

Yoon is becoming the Nicholas Sparks of YA literature. For those that don't insist on a happliy-ever-after will enjoy this book. the characters are delightful -especially the dance instructor. The main character starts off kind of annoying, but that makes her growth all the more enjoyable. Also - I took away a star because the whole bridal shower scene was so icky to me. Why on earth is everyone so happy for this woman who is marrying a man she cheated with? How can he be described as a family man when he literally cheated on his wife? I don't care how unhappy you are - take care of your business before you start a new relationship. And the fact that they kept pressuring the main character to just be okay with it (and even celebrate it)? yuck.

THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS!!! 6.00 CAWPILE

There is nothing horribly wrong about this book. I am perhaps too old for this book considering it is focused around high school seniors and I have been out of high school for over 7 years but....

I had a great time reading this book though. I liked learning about all different kinds of ballroom dance. The competition components of this book were great (Fifi is amazing)!

I don't want to be over-critical but I didn't enjoy the main character being referred to "X" the whole book. I get his name is Xavier but ehhhhhh not a good choice.

The underlying messages in this book about love, heartbreak and grieve are truly magical!

This should have an adaptation because I would honestly devour that!
