Literally haven’t cried about a book in so long, but this one. Def cried. Such great lessons. Love the characters and it was a very cute story. Another win for Nicola yoon

This book called me tf out wrt avoiding love and relationships to protect yourself, and I'm personally offended that X died tbh. I know why he did. It makes sense. I just also fucking hated it. So.
10/10 would hurt my own feelings again by reading it.

I enjoyed this cute little love story. It was very raw and very real about what love is.

SO. FREAKING. GOOD!!!
I read this entire book during a long shift at work. I was hooked within the first couple of pages. Despite the supernatural elements the story felt so real, and Evie’s character development was top notch.
Even though the ending broke my heart a little (more like a lot), I actually feel like my perspective has changed after reading it. Nicola Yoon has so many good one liners and good quotes stuck in there that I felt like I ended the book wiser than when I started it. Very unexpected from a book I bought at B&N on a whim, but a pleasant surprise!
