Going through my Devney Perry/Willa Nash back log and I finally started this series after it being on my TBR for so long. No surprise, but I enjoyed this book. It was a bit insta love for me which is what kept it from being a 5 star read but I liked how solid they were as a couple. There was trust, support, and communication. I really liked Travis and hope we get more of him, maybe a him and Savannah story in the future? The suspense in this book was unique. The threat was always there but other events of the book made it so it wasn't always the main focus until certain points. I wish we got a little more from the side characters and small town charm. I wanted to see the towns reaction when she came out as who she was. I wanted more friendships or something. I did love love the bits we did get and I loved the friendship with Everly. I can't wait to read about her and Hux next.

Country singer Lucy is driven into hiding due to a crazy stalker. She settles on Calamity, Montana, where she meets Duke, the local sheriff.
Duke and Lucy have an instant connection and the sparks fly between them. Their connection comes on strong and fast (they say I love you very quickly). There is no misunderstanding or angst, just an adorable love story with a dash of mystery.
Duke was straight up a good guy. He is loyal, protective, and compassionate. Lucy is strong and sassy. Duke helps her heal and she helps him find what he has been missing.
Yes, the story is far fetched. There is no way she isn't recognized just because she dyed her hair. I doubt a music superstar would really give up her whole career to live in a small town. This sets up the series well and I cannot wait to read the next book.
Tropes: instalove, secret identity, small town
