Of all the holiday books I've read this year (and there have been 20+), this was one of my favourites. It was so chaotic and over the top, but also a lot happened in it, so I have to give kudos for that. The main plotline was pretty normal - big city developer falls in love with a man in the small town she's trying to build a development in, sure. But the rest? Amazing. We have family drama, a rogue moose destroying Christmas decorations, a town where people just become mayor by appointment (often against their will) and a hedgehog in a Christmas sweater. What else could I ask for? This is one of the few times that I've read a Christmas book in a series that I could see myself continuing.

I unfortunately did not enjoy this. I don’t remember particularly enjoying book one but I had hopes for book two.

I wish I liked this book more, since I liked Lana in The Tourist Attractionand Rick was a sweet main character. But unfortunately, I found the book to be really boring and tough to finish. The chemistry was a little bit flat between Lana and Rick, and the conflict felt really low stakes and not engaging.

This was such a fun read for the holidays. I’m so glad I finished it on the week of Christmas and with snow on the ground. It was atmospheric and fun. I loved Lana and Rick as characters so much I thought they were really great together!
