Haven't read the first book which is fine because I feel this one can be read as a standalone.
I didn't enjoy this one very much though. I was all in at the beginning and then I started getting bored. I felt the story was going nowhere and it basically did since most of the conflict was resolved within a paragraph.
The writing style was a bit odd for me and couldn't get into the flow of it.
Oh and the fact that she calls everyone dearest makes her sound like a 90-year old. I cringed every time she said it.
Suffice to say I won't be reading the first book in this series.

This story based in Moose Springs Alaska, focuses on Lana and Rick. This is complete fluff, not even the reading equivalent of McDonald, more like the reading equivalent of cotton candy. I enjoyed it as a guilty pleasure.

This book was very cute - the romance was definitely there and it was a slow burn which I always love!
But the book was so long and for no reason and we waited so long for them.to get together just for the smut to be fade to black.
I loved Lana's character though!

A continuation of such a cute trilogy!
We're introduced to Lana in the first novel. She's no nonsense. She's gorgeous. And Rick likes her but feels she's out of his league. Oh and in this one there's a Scrooge McMoose on the loose that Lana has vowed to catch to impress the town.
I did like the first one better, and I think it's because I identified more with Zoey than Lana. But Rick's "strong but silent" type hit the mark for me!

Moose Springs books will always make me want more.
The charm and love in Moose Spring Alaska continues in the second installment of this series but this time following Zoey's best friend Lana and a local pool hall owner Rick. This book continues the fun and coziness of the first book and throws in some cute moments between Zoey and Graham.
This book lays heavy on opposites attracting with Lana being a business woman who is needed all around the world for her family business and Rick owning a barely afloat pool hall in the cozy town.
Recommended for anyone looking for cozy, holiday read that shows nothing is impossible

Now, in "Mistletoe and Mr. Right", we get to see the deeper parts of Lana, the little girl who fell in love with Moose Springs and the people in it, the grown woman who still cares so deeply for the town that hates her, the pressure she constantly feels to be a Montgomery, and the friend who is so happy to see her friends happy. Lana doesn't let her guards down often, but when she does, the people who get to see her are special. Zoey is one, but Rick quickly becomes another. And he understands that need to have those guards up because he has his own. It's what's been protecting his heart and happiness since his high school sweetheart divorced him, and what he needs to do to survive and provide for himself and his ball of angst nephew, Diego.
