A fascinating look at how anxiety wreaks havoc on lives and how a simple idea like exercise can help people cope. She is very clear that it won't "Cure" mental illness but it can play a significant role in helping to reduce the effects. Highly recommend.

As well as telling her own story, the author has done research around exercise and mental health to encourage all of us to put on our trainers and take that first step. She is very encouraging and the book leaves me hopeful that my own efforts will continue to improve my mental health. Of course, when she wrote it she couldn’t have begun to imagine how the pandemic would change our lives. I also love how the chapters start at “1k” and end at “10K”!

An honest account of finding a way to deal with extreme anxiety and heartbreak, although obsessive she knows she is obsessive. Very readable.

I get how the discussions of anxiety are necessary but they are triggering and gave me a whole list of new things to think about and worry about with the intense descriptions of panic attacks and anxiety symptoms I had not experienced which just freaked me out
